It was a whirlwind beginning of September for us. We had Evelyn's 1st bday up at Lake Geneva. Right before her celebration her daddy had some crampage, ended up doubled over in the hospital with an I.V. and we made it back home just in time 
for Evelyn to blow out her candles, snarf down her cupcake, go to bed and wake up to be dedicated at church the next morning. 
Our gift to her was leaving her for 10 days to go to Italy!!! Although it was beautiful, delicious and a gorgeous trip overall there is no way we can leave our girl for that long again! Not that she really minded since she was spoiled rotten by her grandparents. But there's only so much Italian cuisine you can eat, so much 
chianti you can drink, so much architecutural beauty you can digest before we realized without Evelyn it was all meaningless....at least by the 7th day it was. Anyway - here are the party girl pics and some from Tuscany & Capri.
